1951: Diamond Jubilee Dinner

A commemoration dinner was held in the Connaught Rooms, at the Cadena Cafe, on 11 Oct 1951, to celebrate the diamond jubilee of the opening of Kingsholm.

Gloucester RFC President Dr. Alcock chaired the proceedings and key guests included H. Cleaver, President of the RFU; Rev H. M. Hughes, Gloucester RFC Chairman; the Mayor of Gloucester, W. J. Smith; F. D. Prentice and D. R. Gent.

Entertainment was provided by the Buff Woolton Trio, banjoist Phil Barker, and comedian Billy Seldom.
