Club Rules, 1885-86
- That the Club be called the “Gloucester Football Club”.
- That the rules of the Club be those of the Rugby Football Union.
- That the dress consist of red, yellow and black jerseys and stockings, and dark blue knickerbockers.
- That the business of the Club be transacted by a Committee consisting of the Captain, Secretary, Treasurer, Captain of second team, and eight other effective members of the Club; six to form a quorum.
- That two general meetings of the Club shall be held during the year, one at the beginning of each season to elect the officers for ensuing season; and the other at the end of each season to receive from the Treasurer a statement of accounts; at which meeting every member of the Club shall be entitled to vote.
- Any gentleman seeking election to the Club must be proposed and seconded at a Committee meeting, and any such applicant shall not be considered a member if two black balls are placed against his name.
- That the Annual subscription for Honorary and Playing Members be Five Shillings.
- That no person be considered a member until his subscription be paid.
- That all Members playing in Matches shall wear the Club Colours.
- That no member shall be admitted to the ground on a Match Day unless he present his subscriber’s ticket to the gatekeeper for inspection.
- That the Committee have power to rescind, vary, or add to any of these Rules from time to time, as they may think fit.
